Deborah Navarro is an entrepreneur and technologist, founder of transportation startup AirLev, a transportation startup in stealth mode, composed of engineers from UT & MIT. They’ve developed a system leveraging the Hyperloop levitation technology, they pioneered to move goods and people, autonomously, with zero carbon emissions, at high-speeds. Hyperloop is the proposed 5th mode of transportation as popularized by Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX.
The Hyperloop is a system of tubes, above or below ground, in which a pod (vehicle) can travel without friction or air resistance due to its vacuum state. SpaceX and the Boring company are currently building Hyperloop networks across the U.S that will facilitate pod travel. Together with a team of engineers from MIT Hyperloop II & Texas Guadaloop, Deborah took home the Innovation award at SpaceX’s Hyperloop Pod Comp IV and II for their breakthroughs in air levitation. She has also been a speaker at TEDx, Bloomberg, and SXSW.
Deborah Navarro specializes in taking cutting edge technology from the research lab to the market and she is passionate about connecting the world and empowering people from all wakes of life. She aims to augment the relationship between technology, sustainability, and artificial intelligence by building products that are mindful of their position in the environment and implementing them in a way that allows them to communicate and couple with other technology.
