Florence Toffa - Gather 2018
Mohamed Jimale, is the founder of Ari.farm – an impact tech startup that is building an efficient, tech-powered livestock market for Africa where anyone can buy, own and sell animals from their smartphone supporting local farmers and create jobs. As a user of the app you follow your animal and everytime something happens, for example when your goat gets pregnant, you get a picture. Like farmville, but for real. Mohamed grew up as a nomad in Somalia where his family have been livestock farmers for generations. In 2010, he moved to Sweden as a refugee where he, amongst other projects, worked for the UN.
