Gather Music Festival is an initiative that revolves around collaboration. From the 13th - 16th of September, Gather will activate everything from small live venues to larger clubs. Together with local artists and international talent we aim to give Stockholm a weekend of music, talks, art and performances. You will be able to take part in a majority of the program for free. We aim to be the connecting hub between networks, record labels, initiatives, companies and venues, believing in the simple philosophy that we build our strength in numbers of ideas and forms of involvement.

Kojo Funds is an emerging artist redefining the music genre lines. Hailing from East London, where the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Lethal B & Wiley have emerged from, he is creating a major buzz in the music scene. His sound can be described as AfroSwing. He can go from Grime to R&B in a flash without breaking the listeners ear drums whilst doing so. The growth of the artist from ‘Want From Me’ to ‘Fine Wine’ demonstrates his artistic ability. With “Dun Talkin’’ a collaboration with Abra Cadabra (Mobo 2016 Best Song Winner), creating a stir in the UK and beyond, the world is on notice for what this talented young man is ready to showcase. Merging different elements together from a wide array of genres, he’s in essence doing what Gather is all about, thinking different. We’re glad to host Kojo Funds at our Closing Party at Nobelberget, September 15.
A 22-year-old, multi-Award winning artist, from South London, Ms Banks stands for female empowerment & individuality. Encouraging women everywhere to be themselves no matter what they’ve been through or what society expects of them. This is reflected in her music where her wordplay, energy and lyrics are small insightful windows to her own experience.inspired by strong female emcees like Lil Kim, Ms Dynamite, Lisa Maffia and Foxy Brown. She's come a long way since her playground bars, collaborating with Stefflon Don, JME and Stormzy in the process, while finding her own raw, energetic sound. With such renomé despite her young age, we’re glad to introduce Ms Banks to the Closing of Gather.
With his critically acclaimed debut, Parham quickly gained respect as one of the paramount names within the Swedish music scene. Since then, one has been able to follow his musical journey and transformation of expression, from the more classic hip hop debut ‘Pojk’ to later albums ‘Hemma här’ and ‘Torsken’ that centers more around emotions and self disclosure. Parham is known to make excellent use of his multifaceted voice, where his velvety soft voice is utilised both for great singing as well as delivering lines with equal rhythm and flow. Maintaining emotional lyrics, Parham does so with a great amount of wit and sense of humor, that together with an exquisite production makes his words find their way into your heart and affecting you in a deep way, without ever being pretentious. With his new release ‘Torsken’, Parham has gained yet more musical treasures, that we’re eager to share with you, and the balance between joy and contemplation makes him the perfect artist to perform at Gathers Closing.
Gothenburg raised and Stockholm based, Julia Wallin is a triple threat: programmer by day, DJ by night and producer somewhere in between. An indecisive and adaptable Virgo through and through, her sets are a smooth blend of genres and moods. Are we going to get ambient yoga mat jazz, dreamy yet sticky 70's funk or old school, South African house tonight? Truth is, we'll probably be touching on a bit of everything. A regular on the Stockholm club scene, Julia is an interesting name gaining attention among the city's DJ's - highly appreciated for her unexpected and soothing mixes that often transcend genres. She aims to create sets with healing vibes that make you forget about your troubles.
Between her long-running involvement with Brilliant Corners, and her regular slots on the likes of Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM and NTS, where she has recently secured a monthly residency, Donna Leake has successfully managed to carve her own niche at three of the most progressive and musically-fascinating institutions in London. Constantly digging deep from a record collection that reflects the diversity and remarkable reach of her incredible passion for music, Donna’s sets tend to tease the dancer onto the floor, encouraging them to move, think, or feel, or often all three. That aforementioned NTS residency began with the words ‘I’m going to be sharing some music, music that I like, different kinds.
Izabel is a selector and radio host, currently based in Amsterdam and known for her excursions into deep and experimental sonic dreamworlds. Starting with a radio show at PBS Community Radio in Melbourne, she found herself in the process of musical rummaging to constantly dig up new music that would feel new and pristine to her ears. The radio show would be the first step in the Lullabies for Insomniacs-project, now also a label with renowned releases and a mixtape series with revered artists like Donato Dozzy, Jamie Tiller, Dubby and Red Light Radio-resident Josephine. A versatile project indeed, it’s experimental and curious in its essence, all packed together by Izabels exquisite taste and doubtless sense of quality when it comes music. As a DJ, Izabel uses her broad skillset and record catalogue to create fascinating narratives, with the record players and a mixer as a way of communication.
Her selections from dreamscapes and grooves to industrial polyrhythms has seen her gain support for artists like Tako, Jan Schulte, Palms Trax, John Talabot, Beesmunt Soundsystem, Zaltan, Jayda G and Noise In My Head.Having been host to one of Sydney's FBi Radio's long standing shows 'Spin The Bottle', Lauren has also received international recognition from stations like NTS Radio, Worldwide FM and Red Light Radio in addition to broadcasting live for Resident Advisor’s selector series at Brilliant Corners in London. Along with her love for music is her love for handmade Australian products where she joins forces with Medhi El-Aquil as his Condesa right-hand.
Located 10 minutes by bus from Slussen, Nobelberget is an unique industrial space of grand proportions; cavernous ceilings met by concrete walls. The special warehouse atmosphere combined with its sheer size makes it the natural basecamp for Gather during September 13 - 15. Not only the main hub for the conference, Nobelberget will also host Gather Closing, with prominent artists Kojo Funds, Parham and Ms Banks.
During September 13 - 16, Gather Festival have teamed up with the one-of-a-kind music bar Hosoi. Collaborating with Hosoi, Gather aims to give Stockholmers and conference delegates the opportunity to truly enjoy music at it’s best, with Hosoi’s custom built HIFI-system that brings out textures and details of the music that is played on it. We take on the Hosoi-concept of Listening Sessions, where lights are dimmed and where full focus goes into the narrative of the selector.
